Meet Adrine
Adrine grew up in the Long Horned Cattle Keeping areas of Ankole Region – South Western Uganda with her grandma and Elder brothers. She used to accompany her elder brothers to graze cattle in the neighborhoods. As a young girl, she could help her grandma to collect firewood, grind millet grains on a grinding stone, make cheese and prepare food. In the evening hours, her grandma could convene them all on the African traditional fire place to tell them stories. Grandma’s stories were full of Knowledge and very interesting that she could stare, smile and lean forward to listen more. What was instilled in her by grandma inspired her to learn about the cultures and natural phenomenal in the world around her. Today Adrine is pretty sure that’s what pushed her to choose a profession in line with it. Adrine went on to take; A Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Master’s Degree in Wildlife Tourism and Recreation Management. A number of refresher courses in Culture, Bird watching, Tourist Driving and Nature Guiding with Tourism Profession Associations in the country.
