This 3 Days mountain Elgon National Park hiking safari will take you to Elgon mountain National Park which is found in eastern Uganda in the district of Mbale. You will visit the sipi falls, river Nile, Mabira forest, Bungee jumping and white water rafting, Jinja sailing club, Masese fishing village, Itanda and Kalagala falls. This tour starts and ends in Kampala and involves a thrilling experience in the Eastern Parts of Uganda.
Day 1: Entebbe – Mount Elgon National Park
Upon your arrival at the Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by your driver guide or company representative. Thereafter transfer you to the Eastern Uganda. With your lunch En-route in Jinja, take Tirinyi upgraded highway to reach Mbale town in one hour’s time from Iganga. Then explore the magnificent Sipi falls and adjoining areas. Dinner and overnight at Mbale Resort or Volcano lodge Mid-range accommodation, Sipi falls rest camp and Lacam lodge the budget accommodation. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day 2: Mountain -Elgon National Park
After breakfast with packed lunch and snacks, this day is dedicated to one day hike where the park guides and Porters are ready to take you up to the mountain using any of the selected three main trekking trails. Budadiri Forest exploration centre – Kapkwai and Kapkwata are all places you start to choose to ascend the spectacular mountain. Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 3: Mountain Elgon National Park-Kampala.
Early morning breakfast, after embark our safari and drive to Jinja to experience interesting destinations like source of the Nile, Bungee jumping and white water rafting, Jinja sailing club, Masese fishing village, Itanda and Kalagala falls with our en-route lunch. Thereafter drive to Mabira forest and Ssezibwa falls to experience more natural and cultural resources like primates, birdlife species and cultural community initiatives. Return to Kampala for your dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel/Cassia Lodge/Namirembe Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board.
