Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport

You’ll be personally met by our company representative upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, transfer to Kigali City for your overnight at Hotel Chezlando. Meal plan: Dinner

Day 2: City tour Kigali to Parc Volcanoes

After your African cup of coffee, ready for a drive to visit Kigali for a city tour which includes the Genocide Memorial centre at Gisozi. The Kigali City tour will enable you visit the colorful markets, genocide memorials and craft centers are the main areas of interest. In Rwanda you will find all over the country Memorials to remember the genocide of 1994. Where the history of the genocide is explained. A visit to the genocide memorial is for most visitors an emotional event. Lunch at any local restaurants in Kigali and thereafter drive to Parc Volcanoes. Day 3: Gorilla trekking Rwanda-Uganda

After breakfast, you will depart for the headquarters of the Park where your driver-guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing about the greatest animal experience ever! After the trekking, lunch. Afternoon drive from Rwanda to Uganda side as you enjoy the rolling hills and the changing landscapes of the Kabale Kisoro region. Dinner and overnight at Kisoro Tourist Hotel. Day 4: Rwanda to Uganda Bwindi

After an early breakfast, ready for Golden Monkey trekking in Mgahinga National Park. Golden Monkey (endemic) tracking has evolved as a new experience only to be enjoyed in Mgahinga, while trekking the Golden monkey a lot of other primates will be encountered including a variety of beautiful bird species. Thereafter after continue your drive to North Bwindi in preparations for your second Gorilla Adventure this time in Uganda. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Uganda

Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.  The afternoon is spent on a community foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Day 6: Bwindi- Ishasha Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today’s drive is through what is probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery. Head to Ishasha section the afternoon relaxation. In the evening make a game drive in search for the rare tree climbing lions. Overnight and diner at River Ishasha Ntungwe Camp Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 7: Ishasha-Mweya Queen Elizabeth National Park

Ready for an early morning breakfast, before you drive off to Queen Elizabeth Mweya Section , enjoy a guided nature walk in the Ishasha wild along the Ishasha River, thereafter take on a mid morning game drive to spot more tree climbing lions. After lunch drive to Queen Elizabeth. A visit to the bat Cave close to Maramagambo forest or a glance of Kyambura gorge is a must! Dinner and over night at Enganzi Safari Lodge Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 8: Mweya Queen Elizabeth National Park

Morning game drives in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kibale Forest National Park

Begin your morning drive to Kibale via Kasese as you enjoy the winding scenery of the foot hills of Mt. Rwenzori arriving in Fort Portal for lunch thereafter continue to Mountains of the Moon Hotel for sightseeing and relaxation around the lodge Meals and over night at Mountains of the Moon. Astunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”. Meal plan: (B, L, D) 

Day 10: Chimpanzee Trekking

In the morning you will have breakfast to transfer to Kibale Head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, and butterflies. After tracking the chimps in the afternoon you will go for a nature walk to the Bigodi swamp- to see unique flora and fauna. Day 11: Kibale Forest National Park – Entebbe.

Begin your morning with a visit to the Nyakasura falls in Fort Portal, thereafter your lunch drive and return to Kampala and Entebbe. Overnight and dinner at The Boma Hotel. Meal plan: (B, L, D) 

Day 12: Ngamba Island Visit –Departure

Take a morning speed boat inside Lake Victoria to Visit Ngamba Island, where you will encounter the Orphaned chimpanzee; you will take part in feeding the chimpanzees from the visitors plat form including a round trip of the CSWCT sanctuary project. Thereafter your lunch return by speed boat arriving at the main land for transfer to Entebbe Airport ready for your evening flight to your next destination or back to Sydney.
